Ok, I just gotta know...

WHAT IS IT with all the ship bashing in the Avatar fandom in the last 24 or so hours!?

Now simple, civil and friendly debates, I can understand...Even when I first saw some hint of this crap going on a month or so ago, I could ignore it. But this is getting ridiculous.

What's more, I'd like to say that this is an ART site. Where people post ARTWORK. Not Ship-bashing trash against Zutara, or rather, ZUTARIANS THEMSELVES, only to say it's all in jest, then turn around and flat out flame the pairing/Shippers!! That's a lie, that it's all in jest, because you who post it know it's not. you're trying to raise Hell because you know that what you post will bring on Flames from your side, and anger from the side you're flaming.

And you wonder why we get so up and arms about this. Because you flame us, and you do such a BLATANT job of it. Then turn around it's all in jest. Oh, wait, no, "It's not flaming, it's the truth," right?

Kataangers, We have just as much right to like the ships we want as you do. Just because ours is not Canon, does not make it have any lesser of a right to be here. Just because we have different reasons and places of finding material for our pairing doesn't mean you can shamelessly bash it. And the Zutarians that I have met and come to be friends with, they don't shamelessly and blatantly FLAME Kataang, or try to shove Zutara down your throats. I'm not saying there aren't any out there, but just because a few do it doesn't mean the whole ship does. You are stereotyping based on a few bad apples. And guess what, every barrel has 'em, and the bad Kataang apples seem to be causing trouble for the whole Kataang ship.

Fellow Zutarians, I know, this is frustrating, infuriating, even. But If you take their bait and flame the people posting this crap right back, you're only proving their stupid stereotype. Keep a level head when responding to this kind of thing. And though I know it's been tempting the Zutara community, don't retaliate with blatant flaming comics or pictures, either. DON'T STOOP TO THAT LEVEL.

And I don't care how good your art is, when you post trash like this flaming stuff I've been seeing, it totally nullifies your reputation with me. That may not effect you much, but whatever, I don't care. Just so you know. I may not be the only one who feels that way. Think about it.

I've never seen such a hostile fandom.

So as to this piece, I just wanted to prove a damn point. You'll notice I haven't even sided with my ship in this comic. this is just about completely neutral.

But honestly, on both fronts, this fight going on in the deviations and the comments is getting ridiculous. I see lots of namecalling and other crap, if this were in real life, it'd probably be resorting to a fist fight any time now.

I am aware that I drew the two ship reps in child-form, that was on purpose. People on both sides are acting childish.

And certain people on both sides need to back off and simmer down. Certain people need to stop posting complete and utter FLAMES in the name of ART.
I'm not going to name names, because you people should know who you are.

I even drew Kataang a little symbol. It's crappy, I know, but I did what I could with my sleep-deprived brain. Happy now? Now Kataang has a symbol, just like Zutara.

C'mon, guys. This is a TV show. Do we really need to be hating on each other just because of who we each think should end up with Katara? Seems like a stupid reason to split the fandom into two seperate and hostile groups.

And remember that every action deserves an equal or greater REaction...or however that goes. If you flame, expect to get a negative reaction. If you flame in the name of your ship, remember you're just making a bad name for your ship as a whole.

NOW, just settle down and drink your calming tea, all of you!!
