ZUTARA WEEK DAY 1 -- DENIM

Ok, I gotta admit, when I saw what the first topic for ZW was, I was really worried about being a rip-off of Kuro the Ninth Son's wonderful denim work...and it wasn't my favorite prompt that I was looking forward to, whereas I started on Tuesday's entry like, 3 days ago, and I just started this LAST NIGHT...
But I am SOOOOO pleased with how this turned out.
I went back to a medium I haven't used since Figure Drawing last Fall, Graphite sticks. I had this sort of image in my head and it came onto the paper quite well. It took a few tries because of the perspective, and poses, but I am so pleased with this
The main idea I had for this prompt was the colored stitching standing out on a black and white picture of course, so that's one of my favorite parts.
The other idea was for a first kiss kind of thing between AU Zuko and Katara. I just thought it would look so adorable and innocent...I was actually kind of inspired by my own first real kiss.
Why Katara has a shirt and Zuko doesn't, I have no idea. *shifty eyes*So, here's my first submission for

's Zutara Week event, and I'd say it's a damn good way to start this whole thing off! Woo! ONE WEEK UNTIL AVATAR AND ZUTARA BEGINS!!!
